@aletwilightfan Both of you are incorrect unfortunately! Haha, but while I do love Rammstein's version of this song, it was originally done by Depeche Mode in 1986. Then Rammstein covered it :)

I thought it was originally a Depeche Mode song? Yes, I'm sure it was. Rammestein did a cover of it in 1998 :) anyways, i love this movie and you video was sooo perfect

@orlandogirl213 No she didn't. :| Her whole life she was wed to the Duke, to her death of liver failure. She did visit her daughter Eliza various times in secret though. When she died, her friend Bess wed the Duke.

@RelleRoulette not entirely correct - it was the first song Till the lead singer of rammstein heard across the iron curtain in 1986. It was a memory that stayed with him until Rammstein did their version in 1997.

Martin L Gore wrote it. I love it all three versions.

The title of the song is Stripped, and the original version is performed by Depeche Mode. It's from their album Black Celebration and was written by one of the band members, Martin Gore. I much prefer Depeche Mode's version of their songs.

@Trisha87 nope the Duchess never got a happy ending. She had a very tragic life. if only she married Grey, who ended up the Prime Minister of England. :(

What? Of course she didn't have a happy ending!

She stayed married to the Duke and although she visted her daughter, Eliza had no idea Georgina was her mother till her death when she was 48. She was an amazing woman but she died in debt and scandal.
