@DartmouthAlum96 I don't know too many off by heart at the moment. But the easiest way to find underground bands is to find a heavy metal/rock club (you can google search one in your area) and then go to that or if you can't for whatever reason just look at their line-ups and check some of that stuff out.

@DartmouthAlum96 Actually they do.... all the time, the thing is they are just underground and known within the metal community, this is what metal has always been like, in the 80's it was shit like Madonna that was getting all the attention. The only reason people think that the music scene was different back then is because we remember the good stuff that actually stands the test of time like Danzig, it'll be the same way in another 20 years just look for the good stuff and it'll be alright.

Modern record companies are more worried about offending the sacred minorities who shout RACISM every time someone coughs, or alienating a bunch of austere soccer moms whose kids are all on prescription drugs, than producing first-rate hardcore rock 'n roll.
