OR-Live.com, with technical assistance from Digital Media Services will present a Webcast of a Totally Endoscopic Coronary Artery Bypass on a beating heart using da Vinci robotic assistance, broadcast live from Alliance Hospital on September 26, 2006 at 6 p.m. (CST).
For this innovative procedure, Dr. Sudhir Srivastava, Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeon at Alliance Hospital, will use da Vinci, a breakthrough robotic system designed to transcend the limitations of both open surgery and laparoscopy, expanding the surgeon's capabilities and offering patients a minimally invasive option for many complex procedures. With da Vinci surgery, patients can experience significantly less pain, less blood loss, a much quicker recovery and a faster return to normal daily activities.

Well I'm not rich so I would rather die than get a multi million euro operation.

I believe this technology will get even smaller... and in the future more of the process will be conducted by smart robots... kind of how airplanes now can take off, fly, and land by smart robot control.
We may even see suitcase size Da Vincci like machines, and much cheaper price for the machines as well. Maybe even so cheap that regular consumers will be able to afford them for home use, for various tasks or hobbies.

So i get sick alot, better than being dead i guess =]
