Just warming up on a real drum set and doing a video camera check. It's been just about a year since i've been on a real set for any amount of time and before that it's been years since i played. Trying to get my coordination back and adjust to real drum heads after practicing hybrid rudiments on hard drum pads for months now. It's now time to work on Groove/Pocket playing.
is it a difficult transition to get used to? I find when I practice on a pad for a long time, it's hard for me to apply my movement and the softness of my wrist and hands onto the kit. Do you have any recommendations on how to resolve this?

@claytonpuno It is very difficult. I'm in the process of sill tring new things that can bridge the gap between my Chop Builder modified DW Practice pad kit and real drums. What i'm working on now is covering my pads with two layers of 1/2 inch mattress padding (there has to be a better way *SMILE*) to reduce the stick rebound. Stay posted to see how that goes over an extended period of time, not too sure of the long term ramifications of this.
