May I come in? How to approach residents.

The video consists of a series of modules that describe how to care for people with dementia. The introductory module provides general information on dementia. The remaining modules use enactments to portray situations that caregivers may encounter when caring for a person with dementia. They show caregivers how to respond to similar situations in order to stay safe and support the person with dementia.

  • Im not a carer but i clean for a lady who has Dementia. It helps to know a little more about it

  • Dementia is scary but what about those who have it?

  • How refreshing to see good practice being promoted. Out of interest in the UK 'service users' *must* have an individualised care plan, i.e.documentation of their needs and how they are to be met. An agency worker would therefore refer to each person's care plan in order to care for them effectively (and keep themselves safe). Is there an American equivalent?

  • Dementia seems scary
