Agoraphobia - an anxiety disorder, often precipitated by the fear of having a panic attack in a setting from which there is no easy means of escape. As a result, sufferers of agoraphobia may avoid public and/or unfamiliar places.

This is something I've struggled with for a long time.

I would just like to say, to anyone else who is struggling with this:

There is hope.
Don't let a black horizon fool you.
The sun will rise.
Just don't give up.
Be strong.

  • I kinda have this. But i just go into a situation headstrong, no think about panic

  • Nd half of you people are describing claustrophobia.

  • Wait- is this video about agoraphobia, or are you agoraphobic?

  • Very good video! I shall show it to some people. Too many really seem to think we agoraphobics don't WANT to get out ...

  • @DarkSphinxx Well, then it's not agoraphobia, but a social anxiety disorder. Both share many symptoms (like the anxiety reactions and avoiding to go outside), but need a different approach in therapy.

  • @yankonthis Well I answer this for Germany here. Rich people (and also those who work for the military or the state) do in fact get efficient treatment, whilst all "normal people" have only a choice amongst three schools of therapy, all of which are regarded pretty inefficient by international standards. From my experience with them and having read about more efficient therapies (and working in self-therapy with them since a while) I totally share this judgment.

  • i wonder do rich people have a better way of dealing with anxiety and panic? do rich people go to holistic doctors and get better results or what ?

  • so beautiful. I hope you can stop by my channel...us homebodies gotta stick together. ;)

  • so beautiful.

  • Been dealing with this for 3 years and it's been 3 years long enough. Oddly enough I have a generally good time being outdoors, in fact I feel even safer when I'm outside and I can see the sky [clouds are nice]. However classrooms, subways, trains, even long car rides were a struggle for me. I go off to college in a few months and I can't help but anticipate anxiety, but I know I'm going to be OK. This isn't a "forever" kind of thing. And I hope anyone struggling with this knows that. :D
