This set really is quite special, featuring the beautiful 'Princess Elizabeth' in LMS maroon livery, 2x MK3 royal saloons and a MK2 'support coach'. The only niggle I have is Hornby decided to put 2nd radius curves in the set, when 'Liz' is much happier with 3rd radius or higher. Thankfully she didn't have to run on any 2nd radius curves on this temporary layout.

  • Trainmaster5000 you will find a lot of information about the prototype if you browse around. This is a steam locomotive. All rolling stock that runs under overhead electrification wires carry the warnings even if they draw no power. I read that the mk2 support coaches had a generator to provide electric power for use on the train, not for traction.

  • @practice264 thanks for the info!!

  • Lovely loco where do you get your models from?

  • @6781TAYLOR - all over the place! :)

  • Love these reviews, they are useful before making a purchase, Hornby should reward you for your efforts. All the best! : )

  • @BuddLightbrain - haha, please write in to tell them! lol

  • how do u feel about bachmann

  • wow! 99000 views! i ruined the even number yay!

  • Where is the fun in buying these, really?

I was bored with those within the week. My own steamtrain built in my shed was interesting for years.

Starting a diesel one soon, but I'll probably not build the engine true to scale, but alike anyway.

  • @InterCity82- ur right about her being beautiful!! I love her! I think if she was DCC she would be the perfect engine

  • Great video once again. In the prototype world (and the high voltage warning), does this locomotive generate electricity similar to a diesel-electric loco or is there a battery built into this?

  • Pullman wagons no; 1 in Hornby collections Best of Best)))

  • @BrodyRasmussen - that's very nice also!
