Punch Brothers encore from their show at the Lincoln Theater in Columbus, OH. They're goofing around for the first couple minutes, but stick with it to hear an amazing cover of Radiohead's "Kid A."

disclaimer: i shot this on my iphone, so forgive the subpar quality. but hey, it's better than nothing..

  • Ahh I was there! It was incredible!

  • yes! (except for that obnoxious drunk guy up in the balcony, right?)

  • They're playing a silly version of Thile's Nickle Creek's sweet Lighthouse's Tale. They're making fun of Thile. There's an old video out on the tubes of Noam singing it...

  • thanks andrew, didn't even recognize it with pickles singing!

  • This is awesome. I was there. This is the way they reply to people yelling for Lighthouse, or Nickel Creek. It was so hilarious. I love love love these guys.

  • thanks for the post!! surprisingly great recording for an iphone. but I wish i could hear it move into "back in time" oh well. thanks again

  • @repmekevets I, too, was there. And I was originally sitting next to him. And he moved up because there was an empty seat. And I rejoiced internally.

  • I was there, too! YES! This tune was crazy. My wife thought it was really creepy and odd, though, which was true:) I really was dying for them to play Morning Bell instead.

Chris Thile dealt with the drunk dude well though, saying that eventually, the noise must cease...

  • Great sound! Thanks for catching this!

  • Oh God yes...

So obnoxious. I was up on the balcony and he was one section over from me so he was pretty loud.

Just to let you know, I heard some woman say that she understood why a bluegrass band would play The Beatles. Because Kid A was by The Beatles. I wanted to punch her in the face. Haha.
