The Peace, Crazy Love Train arrives on the National Mall 10-30-10

Comedy Central sponsored the "Rally To Restore Sanity and/or Fear" on the National Mall 10/30/2010. Jon Stewart from The Daily Show and Stephen Colbert from The Colbert Report were the hosts. This clip shows one of the entertainment highlights. Yusuf Islam (formerly Cat Stevens) sings Peace Train and is joined on stage by Ozzy Osbourne singing Crazy Train. The fantastic encore is when the O'Jay's sing Love Train.

This was awesome! I've always loved Cat Stevens/Yusuf Islam's music so it's great to see him back on the scene. Love to Ozzy too. And really people...none of us can claim exclusive ownership of God...we can only express how God speaks through us individually through that spark of the divine God has placed in each of us...but any true voice of God is one of love and peace so anyone who says or does violence in the name of God isn't living through that Spirit! Peace and Love everyone!

And he said - on television, at the time of the controversy - that if he knew of Rushdie's whereabouts, he would contact the senile, disgusting, murderous Ayatollah Khomenei, and inform him. This was a grotesque misstep.
