thats what i said man!
"shitty speakers" (desktop speakers) compared to "good speakers" (Yamaha Monitors)
not sayin that all desktop speakers are "shitty" its just a generalization.
-
@glasspig Well actually no :-) If you make it to sound good on desktop speakers you'll be VERY SURPRISED when play your song with something like Yamaha NS 10 :-)

hey MDL , whats up? this is SOUL. i bought my lenovo G550 back in december and i love it!!!.....i needed something with windows XP , decent ram and duocore to run my protools 7.3, reason 4 and FL Studio 9....i also use an M-AUDIO controller....KeyRig 25, Western Digital 320 GB ext HD, Mbox 2 and Sony head phones. it all fits into my backpack and i can record and make tracks anytime, anyplace.

i planned on getting an axiom 49, mpd 24, krk 5's & a laptop just to begin with. is that a good setup for now?

Get a Mac
im loving the mobile setup. im plannin on gettin the axiom 25 and im no a bit of a budget. but do u ever feel limited by the number of keys? i know u can change the octave and stuff, but does that ever get annoying when you're trying to record a beat and u need high and low notes?

You're right! Mobile setups aren't the same as your stationary setup in the studio. But I'm willing to make that sacrifice to bring music wherever I go.

The 25 key configuration is best for on the go arrangements.
