  • What about parents that eat alot of mcdonalds in front of their kids. Should we tax them too? Lets start making big macs 10 to 15 dollars a pop. That would probably get people to stop buying them. It might even sack that entire corporation. Taxing is ruining capitalism and free enterprise.

  • I'm going to stop driving my truck. I know its possible that I will die in an accident and leave my family without me.

I wish people would realize that "stuff" happens. I could smoke a pack a day for the next 40 years and I may live to be an old man, or I could die in a car accident tomorrow night ... in the end, did it really matter if i smoked? Nope, same outcome.

  • You have to admire the sensitivity and humanity of NBC newsreaders.

  • I thought we as americans were legally allowed to smoke...at least that's what I thought.

  • this is an australian ad

  • 300,000 people quit because of the ads. Yea right.

Then you hear 9$ a pack

Lmao it costs about 25$ cents to make a pack.

  • When I was a kid my parents smoke and I didnt cry about it. This country was built off of tobacco. People need to stop turning it into a murder issue. I personally I am not going to do that to my kids but I am not going to point my finger at others and call them murderers. The whole point is people are going to do what they want to do and smoking is still legal. You can't make it illegal, last time we made something illegal I believe we gave birth to organized crime.

  • LISTEN I'm not saying that we shouldn't have the FREEDOM to do as we want, but it is near murder what smoking is. I say if it wasn't an issue of people WHO DIDN'T CHOOSE to smoke dying then... SEE. I'm worried about where this country is going when THE PEOPLE just sit by and let themselves KILL each other. the issue isn't GOVERNMENTAL the issue is PEOPLE! I don't aggree with socialism, but this commercial shows TRUTH. Accidentally or otherwise children really DO CRY about smoking INSIDE OR OUT.

  • Yes and in LIFE people should have the freedom to do the things they want. This is just a snowball effect. Next if your caught smoking your job will fire u and ur insurance company will drop u. Then they will make laws that can record the groceries you buy and if its not healthy you will be penalized. And certain chosen food companies, will reap the benefits and the govt will have control. If you believe making this kid cry was an accident, then I got a bridge in brooklyn I want to sell you.

  • Hang on just a second this is all going under the assumption that they MADE the child cry. First off you now what really happened that the spkes woman said was that the child was faking UNTIL the boy actually did lose sight of his mother. Meaning that it wasn't forced at all it was just an incident that happened during the filming. Basically the croud swallowed the mother up, and yes that was the boy's REAL mother. Also money motivates people for what ever the reason. It's a paradox that's LIFE.

  • Smoking is bad. I am not a smoker nobody in my household is a smoker. I feel this commercial took it too far. In simple terms you are saying it is okay to make a little child shed tears just to get a point across? We know smoking is dangerous. This is hypocrticial bullshit. Watch south parks butt out episode its pure genius. Anti smoking ads psst MAKE MONEY TOO! They are making millions. You think people are that kind hearted to make these commercials on charity? Please. Freedom of choice.
