This is a demo video using some basic 'Visual Journalism 101' Techniques from one of my online workshops that I did for Strathmore Paper Co in their new line of Art Journals. Using collage, paint, stamps, journaling, doodling, shading and highlighting, it's easy to create fun and interesting journal pages. The journals can be found here http://www.strathmoreartist.com/visual-journals-landing.html

  • Hi Pam, you really helped me to get going with my painted pages. I have a question: which consistency of Golden do you use? Is it the heavy acrylic (before you mix it) or is it the fluid type? I loved watching your process. Thanks so much.

  • @seaslay I use both, just add more water if you use heavy bodied paint:-)

  • absolutely fantastic! Thank you so much!

  • @froebelsternchen you're welcome! Glad you liked it:-)

  • Pam, Thanks so much for this video. I love to watch you create. I really love the colors you use. I was wondering about the white pen you were using, can you tell me about it?

  • @devinecj Thank you so much for stopping by! I use a White Uniball Signo Gel Pen, they are great and write over just about anything!! I've been using them for several years and not found anything better.

  • Thank you so much. This was very helpful. You are a good artist but an even better teacher. You put so much helpful technique and verbal instruction into one demonstration.

  • I'vs seen tutorials like this not nearly as good. I'm thinking about doing something like this for the front page of a writing journal so thank you it's been really helpful watching all the steps.
