FINAL FANTASY XIII-2's greater sense of freedom and exploration, in addition to the enhanced battle system, which will allow you to collect and train more than 150 different monsters found throughout the game. It reveals a deeper look at strategic fast-paced battles, in-depth customization and choice-oriented gameplay, that both new and experienced FINAL FANTASY players will enjoy.

@EquivalentExchanges Any creature you encounter, aside from bosses I believe, can be tamed and recruited into your party. Each creature behaves differently and has different abilities. Think of the them as being similar to pokemon, haha.

@EquivalentExchanges I'm pretty certain it's an effect spell, like sleep or stun. So basically, any monster that isn't resistant to it. Bosses tend to be resistant to status effects, so I'd imagine they can resist taming.

@EquivalentExchanges Don't concern yourself too much with the name. Squeenix have been reusing names without a care for a long time. You can tame one creature that you come up against at a time in the game to fight as a party member with you.
