Hamilton was a "Born-Again Christian" in real life. That was one of her motivations, for appearing on Mr. Roger's Neighborhood; to explain her character. Rogers was a Christian preacher in real life.

Fun fact, Teddy Roosevelt drank a gallon of Maxwell House coffee every day.

@kkrichie Lol, I know right? I think she actually is saying prissy or something though. It's weird though; I thought she said that too when I first saw it. I broke out laughing!

@jaytlr9 Thank you for the pleasant return of thoughts. Margaret was a one of a kind gem, imo. By the way...blooper alert for this ad for Maxwell House. The lady Ms H portrays is Cora...at about 11 seconds into it, if I'm not mistaken, Percy refers to her character Cora as Clara! *grin* "Oh Clara..." I played it six times or better, poor Percy flubbed his line I think. Still a wonderful ad from the those years, with a great lady. Peace and joy to you, Jay.

Haha, his name is Percy, not pussy! :)
The Wicked witch! Awesome!—How much longer after wizard of Oz was this? Just posted a Maxwell House Coffee coupon video on our channel, interesting that she was the spokesperson for them

@askforadeal - This was nearly 40 years later, but Hamilton actually did commercials for MH between 1974 and 1979, as I recall...in fact, her very first one is posted elsewhere on YT.

I remember these commercials but I never realized I was watching the wicked witch of the West, the woman that terrified tens of millions of us boomers. If you listen to her interviewed on the blu ray version of The Wizard Of Oz she was really a nice person with great sense of humor.

@fredzepp1 - She def was...in fact, Judy Garland recalled years later that she had a hard time acting scared during filming b/c she was such a warm, friendly person off-camera.
