Pickpock ne craint pas les entraves - 1909

La catalogue Pathé établit le résumé suivant de ce film truculent : « Pickpock est sous les verrous. Mais, plus insaisissable qu'Arsène Lupin, nulle chaîne ne lui résiste et il se joue des agents comme le chat d'une souris. Après les avoir roulés avec une réelle maestria, les avoir réduits en effigie, il les roule et les jette par la fenêtre. Mais les policiers reprennent vie et la chasse recommence. Pickpock, repris une seconde fois, enfermé sous de lourds barreaux, trouve encore moyen d'échapper aux agents qu'il emprisonne à sa place et s'en va tranquillement les mains dans les poches ».

The Pathé catalogue's summary goes as follows: "Pickpock is behind bars. But more elusive than Arsène Lupin, no chain resists him and he plays with policemen like a cat with mice. After having masterfully taken them for a ride, having brought them down to an effigy, he rolls them up and throws them out the window. But the policemen come back to life and the chase goes on. Pickpock, caught a second time, locked up behind heavy bars, finds a new way of escaping and imprisoning in turn the policemen, before walking off calmly, hands in his pockets."

Im Katalog von Pathé findet man die folgende Zusammenfassung: „Pickpock ist in Ketten gelegt. So ist er doch wie Arsène Lupin genauso schwer zu ergreifen. Keine Kette hält ihm stand und er spielt mit den Polizisten Katz und Maus. Nachdem er sie meisterhaft hereingelegt hat, sie hat erstarren lassen, rollt er sie zusammen und wirft sie aus dem Fenster. Die Beamten erwachen jedoch wieder zum Leben und die Jagd beginnt aufs Neue. Pickpock wird nochmal gefasst und obwohl er hinter schweren Gittern gefangen gehalten wird, schafft er es dennoch den Polizisten zu entkommen und sie an seiner Stelle einzusperren. Mit den Händen in den Taschen zieht er dann ruhig seines Weges."

Pickpock viene arrestato una seconda volta e rinchiuso in una cella dalle robuste sbarre. Ma troverà di nuovo il modo di sfuggire agli agenti, imprigionandoli al suo posto ed andandosene tranquillamente per i fatti suoi".
