  • in a non-offensive way, i can tell you're truly not a lap guitarist, you're an upright guitarist (standard)

and i can tell because your right hand looks a bit awkward while slapping which shows a natural preference of finger-picking instead of slapping

    but very nice video too!!

  • @AnderUnplugged u r absolutely right becoz i m much more into rock music(electric guitar) ,,, thanx for the honest critism

  • no offense mate , but that way of playing is annoying >.<

  • @mrgenius4 yeah u r right this video is quite old when i was learning this technique and it doesnt have anything special ........but now i m better

  • Good job , like that little part at about 0:50

TIPS: see your neck bouncing up and down ? easy to fix .

Place your right leg further back behind the bridge to make the guitar "neck heavy"

it'll stay pinned down and easier to target notes.

also, barring with the index finger, it works , but 2 things, it's one note ( or set ) when you could have 2 by using 2 fingers AND in the long run, it may cause some pain & finger damage. Use that sparingly if at all.

Hope that helps .. cheers jeff

  • Well since I'm not familiar with lap guitar playing, it sounds really good to me. Cool tune, nice work. I like it, I do! Greetings from Chicago, Lisa Gee.
