MPH Speed Run (100%) -- Segment 12 (Oub) -- FINAL TIME: 1:22:57

NOTE: It says 25% at the end because of the fact that scans were not required for a 100% definition by SDA, and 75% of the game is apparently scanning. This IS a 100% run, head on over to SDA if you don't believe me. Read the bottom of the description for further information regarding this.

Having to take time out of the first Gorea phase to hit the targets on the wall is a tad annoying and takes away from being able to fully manipulate the timing of Gorea's forms. Still, with the detours in the first phase, the battle was almost flawless. The second phase was practically TAS, since I was lucky to not have Gorea 2 fly all around Oubliette randomly, and he kindly stayed at the top so I could wipe him out quickly. How nice of him. =)

Ending with 1:22:57 is both surprising and awkward. My test runs of a 100% speed run would usually range between 1:26 and 1:28, so I wasn't half-expecting to even meet my Sub-1:26 goal. I'm very satisfied with the 1:22 time, though that :57 at the end scares me a bit, and it makes me wonder how close to 1:21 I would have been if I had been luckier in AL3. I have no intentions of redoing that segment, though, since it took a full 3 hours just to get an appealing result, and I don't think spending another 3 hours will result in a faster segment, or even a matching segment.

This speed run will be submitted to Speed Demos Archive (SDA), and will be added to my any% run located there. The category 100% means completing the game under any circumstances while acquiring all missile expansions, UA expansions, and energy tanks, and beating both of Gorea's phases. Scans are NOT required as stated at SDA due to MPH's irregularity of defining in-game 100% with scans, while the other Prime games don't require all scans for 100%. Glitches, sequence breaks, and out of bounds techniques may and will be used in this run because they are currently accepted the majority of the speed running community.

Grats man, I'm glad that you only had to get the item expansions to qualify for 100%. I can remember when I used to play that Getting 100% with all scans really REALLY sucked. Even in a run it would get incredibly frustrating if you were to miss something especially at a boss fight. all in all great run.
