That's what makes Battletoads impossible. The first level can be completed by a baby, the second is way easy, but the turbo tunnel is nearly impossible. Well done.

The hardest stage? man... that's just the beggining, all the way to the Queen's Tower is NES HELL (I know, I beat the game)

@thesourse I disagree, the hardest levels after that were the ice level and the water level, everything else was pretty decent in terms of difficulty

I love how right at the beginning of the game you can rush and jump in the portal to skip the next level, then it brings you to this level. How incredibly cruel, this level is insanely tough.

Well, it's not the hardest part of the game IMO, that would be terra tubes....

But hey, do you happen to have the music you hear in the beginning of this level? before the bikes?

It's easy to avoid but it just feels like pulling a fast one on the player.

I never really died to that, the part with the island jumps was where I probably died the most in this lvl. Its so easy to miss them. The end is simply getting the right rythm up and down. I can beat it to this day though without too much grief. The fire zone with the jet is part I always struggle with. Why I tend warp past it. Ive yet beat the entire game without mega warping but I have done it.

agreed. to this day i can not beat that level without dying, the rest of the levels i can do without ANY deaths at all (minus the bosses) as i posted on my Let's Play of it (:

Notice that at 1:36, which is the end of the third section, there's a wall that's EXACTLY in the middle?

Levels 1, 2, 4 (kind of), 5, 8 and 9 are the easiest.

Levels 3, 6 and 7 are average. Levels 10, 11 are nearly impossible, and level 12 (whoever has reached that level) requires like 100 times to play to make it to the Dark Queen. Level 12 is, by far, the hardest level.

I just beat it too. At first, I just sat there and stared at the screen. After about 10 seconds I realized that I beat it.
