Care to bring this topic back up again? This season every a-league club bar Perth have seen their crowds drop, Whilst yet again the AFL broke their attendance record and attendance average.. When is this take over supposed to happen again LULZZZZZZZZZZZZ

there both great sports. but afl is only followed truly in 3 states while the horrible sport of rugby league is play truly in the 2 other states. off course soccer is goin 2 b the most played sport in aus coz evry state plays it!!!!

It's true, the AFL hasn't ever had a bigger crowd at telstra dome. There was a wallabies rugby game with a higher attendance once though, but I guess the capacity was bigger.

Yes, you care so much that you try unsuccessfully to "spread" and "promote" AFL to the world, but it just doesn't work, to the frustration of your governing bodies.
I also like how u live in the past, and its with this complacency that football will take over AFL in about 10-20 year. You state that football is a summer sport, yet you can't be more wrong. With 2 new teams coming in next year, our season will be 4 weeks longer.Add 8 more to that, and our season will go on throughout the year.

Melbourne Fills Telstra Dome which AFL hasnt done.
Soccer is the most played sport in this Country. Followed By Netball and then AFL. It was on Fox Sports, in THE AGE and in The Hearld Sun.
Melbournes Memberships hit 23,000 bigger than two AFL Clubs, and its our fourth year this season coming.
We are the only Nation Wide league where a team was started from scratch not moved from another City!

nth melb afl club are struggling on and off the field at the moment.they also are low on members..maybe the ones who have not re signed as members have become melbourne victory members instead.the a league is going to take over afl soon if this keeps up with other afl clubs.
