@Hulk2k6 that's the funny thing...i am sure i was excited and anxious to get whatever album i was going for, but i don't have a clue which one it was now. i still have "i am" in my collection and am grateful for it.

my sister, who was 8 years older than i, took me to the record store when this album came out. i wanted to buy some lame rock album. but she, having incredible musical taste, said, " buy this, you won't regret it." i did and i never regreted it. i lost my sister 2 and half years ago....when i hear this, i just want to scream out, i hear you my beautiful sister....and thank you, thank you for all your influence and love. i miss our soul train saturday mornings. miss you.

I so remember this song like it was yesterday, as I woke up early Saturday morning to the “Looney Tunes,” “Tin Tin” (the classical old version, not the Spielberg movie out now) and “Duck Tales” (just to name a few)! Boy I miss my childhood, things were just so simple and easy. This song would play to breakfast courtesy of my dad (who is a huge Earth Wind & Fire fan), and every one would gather around (me being the youngest at the time would be asked to give grace)!
