2 of my favorite musicians give their interpretation to Samuel Barber's "Excursions". I hope these clips motivate you to buy their CD's. They are all awesome.

  • 2.35.... kéééész...

  • Wow,just beautiful,thanks!

  • I have a personal recording of Makoto Ozone at the Aquinas College Jazz Festival from about 27 years ago. Front row, just a few feet away, it was all very informal. I didn't know we were going to get such a high caliber performance, it being a college festival. He mesmerized me then, and I get just as much pleasure now!

  • I saw these two do a free concert of this music at the art museum in Philadelphia. It was one of the top 3 best concerts I have EVER seen!

  • I saw these two live about 6 months ago and it was amazing. Makoto is the best jazz pianist I have ever seen. Burton's solos are so original and complex. AND they are nice guys!

  • Makoto reminds me of Chick Corea in his ability to improv outside of the changes in an almost classical style. It's is one of the things that I'm working on.
