Gibson SG Standard tone comparison to Gibson SG Special Faded

I own the Standard. I did alot of testing on difrent Gibson models before I desided that it was the best buy, 'n here is my conclution: You'll get a good sounding guitar if you buy the faded one. It sounds really good for the money! But the Standard is really a leaug over! It looks alot better, whit the inlays and bindings, and it sounds alot better as well (to my ear). The whole "feeling" of playing is just alot better!

i have a faded special and changed out the pickups with 57 classics... World of difference

You sort of get what you pay for with these.Most any Gibson is going to be decent quality.Some are better than others.Depends on what you are content with.

probably,depending upon what your running the guitar into,amp,etc

Neither sounds "better" to me, they just sound different. But why are we comparing sound quality from a youtube video.
