Instead of lifting weights, he has a daily regimen of 3,500 sit-ups, 1,000 push-ups and eight mile runs. He has been going through this same routine since high school.

There are natural skills a man is born with that can't be trained or affected through learning. You either have it or not.

Those possessing such natural talent make great athletes if they then build upon that foundation with hard work, discipline and dedication.

If anybody could pull off an MMA career in middle age, it's Herschel.

Though clearly not UFC material, he's got the drive and toughness to push through and make a second career success in MMA.

Natural athleticism exists. When hard work meets it that is where you get guys like Jon Jones. I have a cousin who is the craziest athlete I've ever met. Naturral at anything sports related but has no work ethic so he always comes up short of those who do.
