  • now im guna go buy me a shotgun

  • never heard this song from from him thanx it gets no better

  • Does anyone know who played guitar on Jimmie's Let Me Be Your SIdetrack? I can't find the info on the internet. The lead in on the song and the guitar backing is not something I expect to hear from Jimmie. It is so much more a Blind Blake or Florida blues style. Any help is appreciated.

  • The title here is misdated. Rodgers passed away in 1933. This song was published in 1928. This clip was shot for Columbia in 1929 and copyrighted in 1930. See Barry Mazor's book, "Meeting Jimmie Rodgers."

  • First time I heard this as featured on The Beatles Anthology, I thought he said "HE FOUGHT Texas, he fought Tennessee."

  • an amazing voice

  • Wonderful love ole Jimmie!

this is actually part of a 9minute film of jimmie singing three songs!

  • There was no one else like the Singing Brakeman!

  • @MrCraig1930 Far too young to remember him then...

  • Jimmie Rodgers died in 26th may 1933.
