  • car still runing hot

  • @bratodessa247 Have you 'burped' the coolant system?

    What make/year/model?

  • is it almost the same on a v4 2'5 ltr? my 87 cutlass is leaking water (should be antifreeze but removed it to save money) my car is front wheel drive so belt and pump are on left side. new head gaskets and gaskets everywhere. good compression to. so the problem is that water spits out from the crease where the pulley plate? and block meet. i know this cuz my right tire is wet when i drove it. any ideas? pump bad? is there a gasket behind this metal plate. plyz help.

  • @superdanrocks It would be difficult to say without seeing it in person.

There should be a gasket between the pump and the block (or timing cover).

  • good vid. very helpful. Are you a mechanic? what state?

  • @MrJmazing1 I am not a mechanic, my brother in law is (State of MN).

I just do this to save money and have fun.

  • Thanks so much for the video! I did the pump in my 90 Bonneville today and was a breeze thanks to this video!

  • Great help video...light was fine for me...audio also...great job!

  • Do you not own a droplight? Dark as shit video.

  • extremely helpful, will do this to my buick this weekend. I have an 87 grand national that needs a new pump and cooling system. do you think i should replace the radiator, thermostat, hoses, then water pump?

  • Well done. Simple and straight forward.

  • Should have included how many foot pounds of torque the bolts need to be tightened ..as well as the fact that any bolts going thru a water pump should be coated with silicone..as you never know which ones are in the water jacket..

  • Great video! I've got the same engine in a 00 GTP and will be doing this soon. Thanks!

  • Thanks alot..i think you just saved me $200
