    yes, it's due to the fact that when they started, they always wore Doc Martins, so they were literally, women in Docs! in Brisbane (where they're from), they sometimes used to team up with Downes Reliable Repair Shop in Fortitude Valley (a main stockist for Docs) and raffle a pair of Docs as 1st prize. i remember they did that for at least one of their shows. haven't checked their feet lately, but i'm sure roz and chanel still wear DM's!

    This group was so much fun! Just saw them at Musikfest in Bethlehem and I'm hoping someone will post some of their performance, including the wonderful Savannah on her fiddle! Does anyone know the origin of the name "Women and Docs"?
