I love Philly Joe Jones' playing too but I do like some a lot of Billy Cobhams playing cause he plays the meanest funk grooves I've ever heard. If you haven't already heard it I'd recommend the album "Spectrum" with the awesomely funky tracks, "Snoopy meets the Red Baron" and "Stratus"!
