I still think it is Paul Jones...the film he made with Jean Shrimpton was called Privilege, still lousy acting th o...

@joycejnn It turns out the song is on that soundtrack, but not by PPM, by the writer, John Simon.
I just checked out some Manfreds videos. Paul Jones kept his voice pretty well. Mike D'abo not as much, but clear, non-bluesy tenors don't age as well. Not that he's bad, he just doesn't have the same sound. I'd go see them if they played here. Don't think that'll happen soon, though.

@BlackMonk66 I think Peter , out of PP&M, was involved in making a film about "The Greta Garbo Home", called You are what you Eat.They're not my cup of tea either and "The Mighty Quintet" is an awful pun but I do like some of the Manfred Man stuff.

@joycejnn They do look a lot alike. Not so much now-they're both in The Manfreds-but they did then. When I checked to see if D'abo was still in the group, I found out two things. One, he wrote Build Me Up, Buttercup, which I probably knew and forgot, and two, he has a band called "the Mighty Quintet" which is the worst pun I've heard in a while, which I admire. Don't know about PP&M, not my cup of tea.

@girlblue73 The Greta Garbo home was a grand hotel that had fallen in to a state o disrepair and was then occupied by hippiesand druggies in the summer of love.

@BlackMonk66 Completely different voice than Paul Jones as well.I need to pay more attention.Isn't this a Peter,Paul and Mary song ? and they did a film about the place.

Great song, and great to see the Manfreds having fun on stage. Thanks for posting!
