  • This song really has a lot of sentimental value to me, and I haven't heard it played in years. Don Rich was a close friend of my Mother, and I remember once when we were living just north of Bakersfield, and the band was returning home from a gig in the Bay Area. They stopped by, like they often did, and my Mom fixed them lunch. During their visit, Mom told Don that I was really interested in playing the guitar, and Don sat down with me, an 8 year old kid, and showed me how to play this song!

  • @Aussiesteeler

  • Nobody had the charm and workmanlike mastery of country Telecaster playing like Don Rich. He was the guy who laid the foundation for later country players who brought lead guitar to the forefront. And his singing and fiddling was even better than his guitar playing! What a man!

  • @bakkis61 He was probably far too honest to be President......

  • One of the best and influential guitarists they got their sound by cranking the treble up during their recording that caused the Telecaster to really come out of the poor quality car speakers and AM radio's that were in all the cars back in the 60's The Beatles used the same recording technique on songs like Nowhere man they also recorded Act Naturally on one of their early albums. The Beatles must have loved Buck and Dons Harmonies I love The Buckaroos!!! I remember watching the tv show as a kid

  • Don made a Fender sound sweeter than normal!

  • @Aussiesteeler Wow! I really envy you. Don was the best guitar player and a great entertainer

  • Sad that is life was cut short, He was the one of the BEST on Guitar and Fiddle

  • One of the most influential guitarists ever!!!! I Love Don Rich what an amazing talented musician he was I was about 8 or 9 and still remember what I was doing when I heard he had died at the time him and Buck were doing Hee Haw but remembered him more from watching the old Buck Owens ranch hour t.v. show with my grandparents that aired on Sat.nights when I was 4 or 5

  • Holy maccarony...Don Rich...above and beyond...motorcyclist and all, always smiling. I wish for him to be remembered forever....numer one American ( to me he is)...Don Rich for president...if he only were alive.

  • five stars. i'd give it 100 stars if i could!
