On the 2nd September 2009, I went up on the plinth in Trafalgar Square, London, as part of Anthony Gormley's one and other artwork. I had an hour to myself up on the empty fourth plinth, and spent the time interacting with the viewers in the square, taking pictures, interacting with those on twitter (#oneandother, @melissaterras) and musing on what I thought the artwork meant.
You can see the whole hour at http://www.oneandother.co.uk/participants/Melissa_T
This is a quick video of me on the plinth, showing off what you can see from up there. I hope it conveys what it was like from the plinth, if not the rain and the cold...
Ace! I still miss my hour and would do it again in a heartbeat....I actually wish I'd filmed me more like this despite people tweckling at the time ;-p
