Exciting last few laps of Race #1 at the Skip Barber Eastern Regional race at Le Circuit Mont Tremblant in 2008. Darrick Antell is the driver, and the red car in front is Skinner.

  • Not a very aggresive line, especially in turn 1 and Namereau [sp?].

  • @MikeA1231

I was far from perfect that weekend, especially in Turn 1, mainly just because it was a pretty ballsy corner! Being fast there just takes confidence.

  • how fast do these things go??? what kind of car is it?

Btw you seem to have really good control over that car!!

  • @Dfrogman I believe their max speed is about 120 mph. The car is basically an old style formula ford chassis, except it is entirely custom-built by Skip Barber. The engine is an inline-4 with about 150 hp.

    I appreciate the complements!

  • Did you have an "oh shit" moment just before 4 (@1.15)?

  • Haha, yeah you could say that! I knew as soon as I started braking that I would probably rear-end him. There is also a cool moment at about 1:50 when I get a wheel in the grass and correct the slide with one hand.

  • Great driving. That Brian Skinner guy sure likes to close the door very late

  • Great driving man. I don't know what your aspirations are, F1, Indycar, ALMS et cetera, but I hope to see you move to that rank soon.

  • @ManwithanF1 - looks like he wanted to park there to ponder things. BTW, just uploaded my first day in my Radical Prosport ('08 Hayabusa), also at LCMT, if you're curious. Still learning the car, but I managed a sorta decent 1:46. Plenty of room for better...

  • Brings back great memories... I spent 6 years there as a flag marshall when I was a kid, gave Denny Hulme the blue flag right after Namerow corner when Jackie Stewart passed him and went on to win the CanAm Race in 1971!!!
