  • But yeah I'm fine to agree to dissagree, just as long as you don't watch my Earthworm Jim 1 and 2 P.C review XD

Because I don't think I can have another argument again today, lol.

  • No Bioshock is apparentally a realistic anything is possible RPGFPS that changes with how you play.

When that isn't true as I was safe and cautious on my first go through yet speedy and reckless on my 2nd go through and I didn't notice much different at all.

It also has broken pysics like being able to set an oil slick on fire 5 times.

    Shame really.

  • Yep, and BioShock is just an FPS, period - right? Well, let's agree to disagree here.

  • I've never once read a "review" that's given me a clear picture of the subject, so called prefessional reviews are mainly people talking about other things then they give the game in question a score.

I get more info out of the summary most do than the actual review.

At the end of the day "Hello and welcome to another breif synopsis of the games content, controls, music, features and how it plays" didn't sound right, so I went for "review".

  • I haven't a clue who Tex Avery is but I do know that saying the above, wouldn't have made a lick of difference to anyone other than yourself.

Because the only way to mention the humour is to mention a few bits, and there's isn't that much when you condense it all.

Not to mention the fact that describing it doesn't do it justice at all as you have to live it.

So yeah, could've said it's insanely funny, but that's opinion and times change, what was funny in 94 isn't for most in 09.

  • BTW, you're not being serious here, are you? The humor is the game's unique selling point, glancing over it and claiming that saying more about it would ruin it is, well, questionable. "Some really funny things in here, at least that's what I think" and "Much of the impact of the game in 1994 - and what makes it stand out even to this day - was due to its wacky and anarchic humor which could be best described as Tex Avery on LSD, for example (...)" I'm sure you see the difference.

  • What's a "traditional" review, anyway? If you call it a review, then it should be, I don't know... a review? What you did here was some sort of... let's call it "impressions of the game". A review tries to give you a clear picture of the subject. I didn't think this one did. I've watched, I don't know, ~30 reviews of yours. This one wasn't as good as the others at doing its job, is all I'm saying.

  • None of my reviews are traditional reviews, surely if you've watched any you'd know this.

As for the comments on not saying much, there's not much to say. I mentioned the key important stuff including the variety.

Saying how I didn't mention the comedy, if I had went in depth over that then I'd be ruining it for anyone who'd never played it, it's be like you watching a Lee Evans stand up and me saying every punchline while he's setting the joke up.

So what the fuck else is there to mention?

  • While I really enjoy most of your reviews, this wasn't exactly one, was it? It was more like showing a couple of minutes worth of gameplay, explaining the controls and not really saying much about the game itself. Instead of showing two levels and saying, "That's pretty much everything there is to see about the game", maybe you should have pointed out how ridiculously inventive, quirky, imaginative and varied EWJ is. Based on this "review", I wouldn't want to waste my time taking a closer look.

  • Did it?

    Cool :D
