POD: Canyon

Jeu de course d'Ubi Soft, POD était connu pour son utilisation du MMX, qui en mettait plein la vue. Les problèmes de son sont liée à l'enregistrement vidéo. Vidéo faite sous émulation 3DFX. Testé ici:

I really want to pla it on my PC (vista or XP), since my win98 is dead, I cannot play POD !

French: Leo03emu > Avec 3d studio max je peux faire mes propres circuits, mais POD ne marche plus sur mon ordi, je n'ai plus win98 mais que XP et Vista, et je n'ai jamais réussit à les faire tourner dessus...

Used to play that game... awesome ! Still have the CD-Rom but its too old to be installed on a XP or Vista. Awesome game, awesome music..

I used to have this game when I was super little, one of the very very few racing games I liked.

I love the combination of a futuristic setting/alien world with a very gritty/realistic overal design,

most futuristic/space racers tend to go way overboard to try and make things seem "alien", making it feel unrealistic to me instead.

I loved how most of the levels in this game felt so ... desolate and empty, I honestly feel like you'd freeze to death if you got out of your car in them.

Ah la la ! PoD !!

Je l'avais eu en OEM dans mon bundle 3DFx Voodoo1 Guillemot. J'ai passé des heures dessus.

J'adorais ce jeu. Il avait une touche artistique bien particulière dans le design des véhicules, les levels...

Je me souviens de la vidéo/cinématique de fin de jeu, assez poétique. La French Touch ! ;-)
