Part 6-Edward Van Halen Behaving Badly at NAMM 2003

A seven part series of Edward Van Halen's incredibly drunken and embarrassing performance at the 2003 NAMM Expo. Not only did he get on stage two and one half hours late, he spent all that time drinking red wine in the Peavey NAMM booth angrily lambasting the Peavey ownership and executive staff about how fucked up EVERYONE else was, except him. Ive seen some pretty ugly displays of egotistical drunken anger and animosity, both onstage and off, but this was one of the all time worst displays of a Rock Star Behaving Badly, as Edward had NO consideration for his endorsement deal at that time, but worst of all, he had NO consideration or regard for his fans. He was in such bad shape, that when I finally shook his hand after the performance, I looked at his almost dead skin, matted hair and yellow teeth and I really thought he was going to die within the year. The fact that he has made it this far proves that the human body is an incredibly resistant machine. Its a shame, since Edwards late father was also a life-long alcoholic. I hope, pray - and I am not a religious guy - that Edward gets his act together one day and puts out new music soon, and on a consistent basis.

I felt bad for Eddie during that time.Everyone cut up on him. talking about what a drunk he is.Yet when people seen him live in 70's - 90's.they would all cheer when they seen him have a drink onstage.Alcoholisim is almot a side effect of the rock and roll bussiness.Most musicians have battled it and many have said it was their worst addiction that they ever had.Ozzy,A man who has done it all.Says alcohol was his worst addiction.Its peowerfull. you can get as messed up as you want for real cheap

this was sad.... booze has no morals... but even blown out... he can blow most sober people away which isnt making any excuses... but for most of his career, he was smashed.... remember how he'd drink a 6 pack like first thing in the morning in the studio.... but he is after all.... a human with the heavy burden of who he is and always expected to be great.... he would be so much better and was, when he put the booze away.... keep goin ed..... dont ever stop playing
