Video diary of a late summer canoe journey along the River Thames and an off shoot backwater. Wild camped for two days/nights on backwater riverbank under horizontal tarp supported by 4 telescopic basha poles.

  • Water Fowl? Thats what I call it when my kids fart in the bath tub.

  • @ianrsigel Just make sure they don't follow through.

i believe that would be called submarine races. Love the vid. wish I could be there.

  • @ianrsigel Lol...indoor maritime games, I'll have to remember that one :-) Yes the ol' Thames has few out of the way places to wild it & enjoy the outdoors. Cheers.

  • i must say, its great to see someone so keen to show others there,s more to life than sitting at home watching tv. i too camp out on the river banks and im always surprised with a sighting of kingfishers etc. im still yet to take my jack russel with me on a long weekend, but she really enjoys just coming out on the kayak for a day trip.

keep up the video,s, just so i can show my friends and get them involved in what is a great thing to be able to do.

  • @signum37 Thanks for the comment I really appreciate the positive feedback!

I suppose it's good to show others that you're not the only one with interest in canoeing/kayaking and activities living outdoors, when your friends see it they can consider getting involved, hope they do. "Be out there and be safe" Cheers!

  • @WoodstockHiker Yes she's a good all round track & guard dog plus she often enjoys watching herself on the vids then it makes sense to her why I was talking.

  • Its hard to beat the company of a dog on trips like these. Looks like she's well used to you talking to yourself.

  • @TheAncientMariner66 Have army issue head net but not had to use it as yet. Never had a prob at night, daytime sometimes - I use deet wipes now & then. Cheers.

  • Just wondering, do you ever use a head net to keep the bugs off at night?

When ever I wild camp without a tent I find them essential. I seem to be a bug magnet...
