dante even describes the force of gravity and the centre of mass of the earth in 14c. they get to the centre of the earth and describes in detail having to turn around to climb up again.
though he did think that inside the earth lucifer´s imapct crater had made hell, caused a landmass to stick out the other side as the mountain of purgatory, and that the planets were different parts of heaven. the confusion i think is that they believed earth was the centre of the universe, not that it was flat.

When they were talking about the shape of the Earth, all I could think of was that line in Holy Grail, "...and that, my Lord, is how we know the Earth to be banana-shaped." When Fry brought up Terry Jones, I was sure, he was going to quote that. Sooo disappointed when he didn't :/

I think something went wrong while uploading. You say this is from the 3th season which would make it from the C-series. But obviously the movie is about Busses and stuff, so it's from season 2, the B-series.

@Kujirudo That would be Quite...Strange, seeing as I don't have that series ye. This one is about Campanology which is the study of bells (thanks google). So the episode is about a b, but in a quite interesting way. So C it is.
