@MajorHarvestMoonFan I believe his name was Zippo, wasn't it? Voiced by Lee Evans. My favourite bits were the scenes with the T-rexes, in both this and Jurassic Park. I guess I just loved the carnage and the fear they invoked!

@joshuainsole It's a relief to hear that cause this movie was so awesome! My brother was the same way with dinosaurs, so these movies sort of drew me in and i grew to really like them, my favorite character was the green dinosaur who would read all the time.

Same! I know the reviews weren't fantastic, but as a child I was fascinated by dinosaurs and loved these sorts of things. This was one of my favourites.

My fiancee loved the series and bought it on dvd off ebay, i didnt think that i would like it and after alot of nagging i gave in and now iam glued to it.

@Utahraptor2002 While the books are quite good (especially the art), the writing in the first three is somewhat dry, as would be expected (they represent the journal entries of the fictional 19th century explorer Arthur Denison). The mini-series is much more dynamic and interesting, although for the background, it is good to have at least the first book.
