TV9 - FORMER NCP MP THUKARAM GADAKH & HIS SON ARRESTED FOR MIXING KEROSINE TO PETROL IN HIS BUNK.........!
The Ahmednagar police on Saturday night arrested former NCP member of parliament (MP) Tukaram Gadakh for interfering in police work.
Gadakh had a heated argument with the police over the detention of his son Raviraj, who was caught during a on a raid to check for petrol adulteration at their petrol pump.
The police said they received a tip-off around 6pm on Saturday that petrol was being adulterated with kerosene at a petrol pump owned by the Gadakhs.
They added that they reached the site and caught a tanker ferrying about 4,000 l of kerosene that was to be used to adulterate petrol, and recovered incriminating documents.
The former parliamentarian's son Raviraj was present at the site when as the police team completed the panchnama and other legal procedures. He tried to escape, but was nabbed by the police team in the nick of the time.
While the police were busy with the procedures, the former MP appeared on the scene. He then entered into a heated argument with the police team, trying to stop them from arresting him.
The police team then arrested Gadakh for interfering in police work. He was presented before the magistrate on Sunday morning. While the court released Gadakh, his son has been remanded to custody till November
