Thank you for the suggestion. I had a listen and unfortunately that isn't it either. At the opening few bars it is the woman singing and then Horns playing. She joins in once again after about 45 seconds and it the goes into a piece that sounds like she it singing to the violin. I think she might be singing to or about her lover as the german word for my love come in a few times. It is frustrating when u can't find a piece u really like :(

help please. looking for a piece by Mahler in a similar tone to this. sung by a woman with a similar voice. It begins with a single horn and proceeds on until the woman is accompanied by a violin. I had it on a cd but the cd was lost moving house. I'm sorry if I don't sound very clear but all I know is that it was by this composer. thanks for your time.

Just sublime. It's very rare to find a singer performing this incredible work with such innate understanding of the complexities of No.2. I only wish i'd found these recordings earlier. Thank you for posting.
