  • Nice tortoise. Are you giving him the powdered calcium they are supposed to have on their food?

  • yeah calcium on every meal and also give it nutrabol 3 times a week

  • Is he doing ok? His face looks swollen at 1:35.

  • he/she is doing great,20cmlong and weighs i at 1.3kg,has 6 monthley health checks by the vet and they take pics to record its growth and they are very happy with the diet i feed him and his enclosure, but will need to enlarge the enclosure each yrs lol,at the moment the table floor area is 98 inch x 22 inch and is made in to an L shape, has 2 uvb tubes 1 red heat lanmp 1 spot basking lamp and a uva bulb to stimulate natural activity and he goes to sleep and gets up the same time every day to eat

  • this is so cute ! how is she now??

  • Mann..these ones are so cute..where do i get it from?

  • I own a 17 yr. old Sulcata. He is healthy and weighs 108 lbs and is 28 inches across at the plastron. The reptile vet at UC Davis vet med clinic said that a diet of about 75% grass or grass hay (not alfalfa) with about 25% fresh vegetables and an occasional fruit treat is correct. Sulcatas prefer the taste of fresh vegetables but a diet that is too high in those can lead to digestive problems and problems with calcium uptake and shell malformation. Our tortoise grazes in our grassy backyard.

  • this made me so sad i have my tortoise for four years let it out side one day ONE DAY and found it up side down dead!!!!! this all happened yesterday =.'.(
