  • Greetings from Canada! So good to see the passive Japanese people, taking a stand! Ganbarre Nippon! We are all one world, and ONE PEOPLE. Our country names, mean nothing. Governments have always kept us divided (nation against nation). It is time to realize, we are all the same in every nation- have the same needs. We must continue to unite against those who divide us: our political systems, and the supreme financial entities that own them.

  • "Want to ruin a country? Just export liberalism to them"

  • Oh, cool, the Tokyo police aren't dressed in riot gear and beating their citizens. How civilized!

  • @MiranUT

technically, they do need it unless they want to butcher their beautiful landscape to set up electric companies full of pollution. its an island nation consist of majority mountains.

also there was talks about developing nukes because korea constantly provoke them as well as forcing them to forget their debt and china is harassing its neighbors' waters, going beyond their commercial boundaries.

  • @stoltobot - @stoltobot - Yeah, they said that, but also: "genpatsu iranai" - "We don't need nuclear power'. There're a bunch of anti-nuke signs. Looks like it was an anti-nuke power demo with an occupy thread running through it, which makes sense because if it weren't for the big power companies in bed with the gov, there wouldn't've been a nuclear power plant in Minami Soma, Fukushima. It's almost solely because of the nuclear crisis that Japanese are pissed. Otherwise, they worship big corps.

  • @MiranUT i heard them saying "we don't need 1%" and "we don't need conglomerates" and the other things I couldn't hear. There was one anti-nuclear power sign. There were a variety of signs but yeah, quite a few anti-nuclear power ones.

  • Every where it's Occupied.. o.o

  • I did see a 99 on one person that was wearing the sign like a Pancho .. But I feel the concept was the same.. Occupy japan has all the Japanese peoples most important issues as we have ours, somewhat different but nonetheless extremely important .. Theirs is based upon the very real nuclear and power industry and the governments attempt to limit information to their people.. The loss of livelihoods (generational for a lot of them) the poisoning of their food chains. Their water, air and the sub

  • @waystodate - I didn't see a 99 on the percent sing. All the signs are anti-nuclear power with one anti-war banner. They are chanting, "We don't need nuclear power!" in Japanese. There were Occupy Tokyo events in Tokyo, but this was not one of them.
