American prisons are worse. The first thing associated w prison in the US is a bloke poking yer bum.

Another thing is if you are done being processed during lock in hours and go straight to your cell don't be afraid to walk out the next morning, it's not a good idea to stay in your cell for no apparent reason inmates will start to think your a spinner, always go out mix with the boys, don't act tough about it just be yourself and you should get along fine, and try to get off your green card and into a white card meaning you don't have to be two out ( have to have a cell mate) that means!

The blokes right though, when in the truck on my way to Silverwater M.R.R.C for the first time one of my mates got in the truck at one of the courthouses he explained to me manners will get me a long way if I ask for a bunger say please and thankyou and he said don't go into protection will ya? I said nah mate I've got no reason to, I'm not a Pedophile or a Dog yeah I'm nervous about the main but going into protection makes things worse for you other inmates will start to wonder why!

"Reception" sounds cozy, almost like they will have coffee and donuts for you. BTW: any prison guide I ever read said "protection" is a one-way trip. So if you have a short bit and are a hermit go for it. But if you are let out it will be many times as hard to survive. You will get beat up at first, but eventually if you keep your mouth shut you will eventually blend in.
