The IFS rides smoother and has better turning radius than any straight axle ever will, IFS has the same GWR and the chevy has the same GVWR as any other truck if not MORE due to a lower curb weight. And as far as the "HD" diesel industry is concerned there is no HD pickup truck. In my industry all class 1,2,3 trucks are considered "LIGHT DUTY". HD is a designation for class 8s, AG equipment, and construction equipment.

a duramax might be faster but thats because its not a real full size truck and weighs less

fords and cummins have axles which make them real trucks
