Well, this is it! My new collaboration band, MetalForceFive, has released our first video. This opening act had to be one of our favorites, Iron Maiden. The chosen tune...Where Eagles Dare off of Maiden's Piece of Mind Album (1983).

To be honest, when I chose this tune, I only had PDX and satch in the collab that I knew of, so I picked a song that had a lot of music and very few vocals to mix in. Before I knew it, PDX lined up a drummer and a vocalist and we had a band of sorts. The magic didn't really happen until we mixed the instruments for the first time....it was sweet, let me tell you (I'm the guy who mixed it, so I had the privilege to hear it first).

Expect more....much, much more. This line-up is fairly permanent. The next tune is Ozzy Osbourne, from the Randy Rhodes years.

Kudos to Scream4Vengeance for the awesome video editing. In the future, we plan on improving the quality even more from the first run. I am learning more about mixing, plus I gave Priscilla an overhaul since this vid was made for a cleaner sound. Also, I have purchased a green sheet so I can join PDX in the cool posing with backgrounds.

Here are the channels of my collaborators. Give them a visit...every one is an excellent musician in their own right.

  • Hey man, I love watching you play. I'm a bass player too. Could I get some tips from you?

  • I do not always respond to requests for tips (busy work life), but I try.

  • Shoot the singer and horrible effects on the vocals.

  • Fuck off, subscriber-less loser. No one deserves to be "shot" for anything, least of all JC. That internet tough guy schtick only shows what an insecure little teeny prick man you are.

And I promise you, if anyone is to be "shot", it will be dickless hecklers long before it will be musicians. Mostly because hecklers contribute nothing and everyone knows it (except the heckler, of course).

So take your fucking douchbaggery somewhere else. k?

  • Ps... Any chance for some Coroner from you guys???

  • LOL. Coroner from these fellas? not likely. This band is strictly about 80's metal. However, I am amenable to trying something out with another line-up for thrash tunes. It is important that everyone likes and gets into the music that they play on youtube. Lack of enthusiasm is dreadfully apparent in this medium.

  • What a cover. Frikking speechless. Zokiak pounding on his Rik bass reminded me of Cliff Burton. RIP Zodiak.

  • @zodiakironfist Seriously dude, you're putting way too much bass on that track. Bass is like the mustard that ties the whole sandwich together; what you have there is a whole bottle of mustard!

    Be cool.

  • I wanna do some duets with youuuuuu, pleaseeeeeeeee :)

  • I think it's great, except all the vocals going on in some spots.

  • Yes. Yes- this is how Maiden should be played

  • Loved it, being a maiden fan thought it was a great choice of song and the music , video and voacls were awesome. Keep it up :)

  • rules- whatta loss on bass so talented

  • This is fucking sweet. hell yeah !!

  • Thanks, a comment I truly appreciate!! (I'm a huge fan of LaBrie, he's one of my main influences).

    Cheers

  • It's called harmonies... I like to play with harmonies, for me it's the fun part. In my opinion there is no "should" in music, it's all about being creative and open-minded...
