It isn't called a tornado, it is a waterspout. It is only a tornado if it hits and moves inland.

Yes tornados in San Diego are not to rare at all. We are not part of "tornado ally" in any way and we get less then 1 tornado a year but boy look into the record book and you will find history of deadly EF2 tornados that went through the county. A EF3 went right through downtown LA way back when the city was first being build so tornados can happen anywhere

oh these happen every 7 or 8 years when we get the el nino storms but they aren't as strong as the ones in central U.S

on the warnings on TV, that beep always scares the living shit outta me and my cats and then i go on the floor and cover up with a blanket and the cats hide under it with me. LOL
