  • LD50, one of my favorite albums EVER.

  • @mtnlogistics I don't know about what you said. Drums have always been a focal point of metal bands. I'm on the fence about the bass. Ministry used bass to further songs a lot, and they're as metal as Mudvayne. Death had some good basslines too ("Individual Thought Patterns" album is a good example). But Mudvayne took it to a whole new level. That guy abused the hell outta that thing! Coolest bass sound and usage ever. I don't think they were the first, but certainly unlike anyone else.

  • @pilchardxx24 he actually is man... if it was random tones... it would sound like complete shit... he's actually hitting those notes dude...

no disrespect or anything, seriously, but I think alot of people don't get the "screaming" thing... the one's who know what they're doing (ie: mudvayne)... it is not random tones they scream, they are reaching for tonal similarities... it's actually a beautiful fukn thing man!!

  • i love this song but i wish the singer was more in tune with the guitar it would sound so much more badass instead of screaming his ass off lol, i mean no disrespect i love this band.

  • you:re living through my hell,,,,,,,,

  • @mtnlogistics I completely agree with your opinion on this.

I would also add that the drummer and bassist are completely underrated, even with musicians.

  • @InaGameComa i think we have different ideas of what the term "showcase" means. i'm a big fan of Zeppelin and Sabbath but there's no way I or anyone else would consider them to be bass and drum focused bands.

  • @mikeyh03841 haha Wes Claypool? His name is Les dipshit. First off, Primus is not a metal band. Secondly, I'm not discussing metal bands that had "technical" bass players, there are dozens of them. I was referring to metal bands that use the bass and drums as the driving melody where the guitar acts more as the rhythm. Is that more clear or do I have to break it down further you tard? And btw, fuck your mother.

  • @mtnlogistics I am a HUGE fan of both Ryan Martinie and Matt McDonough but Mudvayne is not the first metal band to showcase drums and bass. Not by a long shot. You can go back to bands that gave birth to metal such as the Who, Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath. They showcased drums and bass 40 years ago

  • @mikeyh03841 * Les Claypool
