clark must really loved carol... what a sad ending for their love...

Tho CG & CL's romance is famous. CG was an ironic dichotomy of romantic lover & serial cheater. Rose 2 top by providing stud serv. & marrying older women, cheated on almost every woman he was w/ (Just w/ Wife2: left her 4 CL AFTER he had illegitimate child w/ Loretta Young, tho W2 paid 4 his Hollywood debut). No doubt CG loved CL in his own way & grieved deeply over her death, but if CL hadn't died would he have ended up w/ Lana Turner? CL rushed home on a plane, not train b/c of that fear. Sad.

I don't like this MUSIC....it's out of TIME for HIM....

Clark Gable had more talent as an actor than he gave himself credit for. He was hugely attractive to women and vice versa. But he was also a deeply flawed individual who cheated on all of his wives routinely. And even alcohol couldn't console him or let him forget what he did.

Love your dipiction of their life together and Clark's life following her death! It was so sad that clark lost the love of his life!

Just studied the accident for nearly 20 years. Since that time I have also researched the life of Carole Lombard. I don't have a book out about the accident, but I do have a website that has profiled the accident at Lostflights.

That is a scene from "Adventure" with Greer Garson. Clark and Greer are arguing and she tries to run away from him. He grabs her back and he says to her, "I picked on you to talk to when it was the ocean in your eyes that done it. I never saw it in no eyes before. I'll call it a day too. I'm sick to death of you!"
