McCain-Palin are mavericks like White-Anglo Saxon Protestants are an oppressed minority here in the states. McCain is a multi-millionaire with 8 houses and has the audacity to call other people elitist? It's jsut amazing that he gets away with it.

I have wondered why her constituents and co-workers describe Sarah Palin as having been "hands off" in her approach to being mayor of Wasilla, Alaska. I now know that she had a town manager who was the one who actually made the decisions and ran the town of 5000+ residents.

Administration of the town was taken away from Palin after she used her office to fire the Police Chief and many other town officials against whom she had personal vendettas. Appointment of the town manager was a way to stop a recall initiative against her being mounted by the town's residents in an effort to forcibly remove her from her first public office.

Public Allies is a Chicago organization of tax payer funded protesters. Barack Obama founded Public Allies in Chicago in 1992, and Michelle Obama became the executive director.
