what up man nice beat i got ReCycle logic pro and a mpk49 can i use it with that

Now in recycle does it matter what you set the Bars / +Bars / Sign to ? I noticed after I chopped up a sample and played it back it was skipping to whatever I set for the Bars/+Bars/Sign. Is there a solution to this or do my chops have to match up with these settings? Thanks!
