  • First, John Hanson was not a President of the Continental Congress. The Continental Congress was dissolved with the ratification of the Articles of Confederation on March 1, 1781 and replaced with an entity entitled:

"The United States in Congress Assembled"

Second he was not selected but elected by Delegates sent to the United States in Congress Assembled by each of the States (current electoral model takes from this founding methodology).

Third this video does dispel the Hanson Black myth

  • So no John Hanson

  • @Netkiller3714 slavery was ok back then dumbass and black people really never had a great role in history because they were mainly slaves or not written about in journals or any document back then. AND AMERICA WASNT THE ONLY STATES WHO HAD SLAVES SO STOP SAYING AMERICA IS FUCKING RACIST WHEN WE WERE NOT THE ONLY ONES

  • @MrMrsteve01: Depends on your definition of full swing I suppose, but slavery was an important economic system. It made people and states rich. It was so important that the issue had to be addressed or else the south would never have ratified the US Constitution. History is more complex than what was promised, forbidden, or acquired; it also about interpretating what got recorded. Your interpretation happens to differ from mine.

  • @TheOriginalLonestar Wait one sec!!! Stop reading those books written by rednecks who lie about everything.. First of all, slavery was not in full swing BEFORE Washington took office. Washington was elected by very few people. Washington promised Indian land and other free goods that the British forbid, including taxation. When he took office there was a plan to acquire all lands per right-of-conquest. Both Washington and later Lincoln, created a mongrel country for the means of money..

  • @Netkiller3714

You're an ignorant troll. Please educate yourself or at least get some common sense.

  • @katiemilker

The people of the Mayflower established one of the first successful British colonies in N. America, the other was in Virginia. They were British subjects, so naturally their settlements were British colonies.

  • @miamisox

"Slave trading happened after Washington crowned himself president."

Absurd. The British Empire built the North American slave trade & it continued after the revolution. George Washington never crowned himself president; he was elected.

  • You cannot cover up our history no matter how hard you try we are the inventors of true masonic thought the whites currupted what the masonic nature was all about we are the reason you have schools, hospitals, and the amazing structures you see all throughout the united states

  • THE FIRST US PRESIDENT WAS MARTIN VAN BUREN, AND NOT GEORGE WASHINGTON. LET ME ADVISE. GEORGE WASHINGTON WAS THE FIRST PRESIDENT OF THE 13 COLONIES AS THERE WAS NO AMERICA THEN. HOW STUPID DOES AMERICA THINK WE ARE, SECOND OF ALL, AS WITH OBAMA IF YOU MUST BE BORN IN THE UNITED STATES, THE FIRST PRESIDENT BORN IN THE UNITED STATES WAS MARTIN VAN BUREN- SO PLEASE GET YOUR FACTS CORRECT. I HAVE DONE MUCH RESEARCH ON THE SUBJECT.

  • yeah american history is very racist and filled with half truths.
